Journal of International Law and ASEAN Legal Studies (JILALS) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Base for International Law and ASEAN Legal Studies (BILALS), an independent and non-governmental organization dedicated to the advancement and dissemination of research in international law, with particular emphasis on ASEAN as a developing regional legal order.

The journal aims to provide a scholarly platform for the dissemination of high-quality research articles, conceptual analyses, and other scientific writings addressing contemporary legal issues in international law and ASEAN legal studies. It welcomes interdisciplinary and critical perspectives that explore legal developments, institutional frameworks, and regulatory dynamics within the ASEAN region.

The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, studies on ASEAN as a regional organization, the evolution of ASEAN legal norms and institutions, regional integration, and the emergence of regional legal frameworks applicable to ASEAN member states.
